Compliance Training

To assist employees to understand the federal, state, and/or college policies to which they are held accountable, Edmonds Community College has designated several trainings as mandatory for all college employees.

Every employee is required by the college to complete compliance training which consists of 4 courses: Diversity Basics, State Ethics, Sexual Harassment Prevention and Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).

Additionally, the new Workplace Civility and Respect Policy, recently approved by President’s Cabinet, is highly recommended reading for every employee.

Retrain is every 3 years for all of the above courses. Reminders for retrain will be sent automatically by email from the new Training Tracker database.

INSTRUCTIONS—Web-Based Compliance Training

All 5 courses are now web-based and easily accessible without enrollment.

  1. Go to http://odet.edcc.edu/training or login to MyEdmondsCC. The compliance training link is under Employee Services.

  2. Follow the steps on the site to read the materials and then take the quiz following each course.

  3. Upon completion of each quiz, fill out and submit the form.

  4. The link will take you to the Training Tracker database where you will login with your username and password (same as for accessing email)

  5. The completion will automatically be added to your employee training record. Exception: those who submit time sheets will not have a training record.

  6. In three years, you will receive an email reminder to retrain.

  7. Your training report is accessible to you at: https://ads.edcc.edu/ODET/_odet.cfm
